Dub is actually good in my opinion
I just played it today and I think the game is plenty fun
There are a lot of fucking systems and special attacks and shit that makes it complex though
you can upgrade shit and upgrade per character and switch per character in real time, very fun
The port isnt the best though, I mean it runs well and you can use your controller, but there arent any options for literally anything else

I don't care much for the dub even though I do defend them. My biggest problem is whenever Kagura in the original Japanese audio would say a one liner in English like "LET'S PARTY!", in the dub she will say it in Japanese.

Your biggest problem was the fact they played it smart with localization?
The dialogue remains completely unchanged due Kagura being a pretentious bitch who speaks foreign words in both versions, hell, the ending cutscene was shaped around it, if the localizers hadn't played smart made EN Kagura spout random Japanese setences for effect, then that cutscene would have had its dialogue altered.

That also reminds me where in Estival Versus, Shiki in the subs is speaking French between her "Grandfather" despite the fact you obviously hear English. That change I don't understand, even in Shinovi Versus there a scene where Mirai tries to speak English with Shiki. I think with SV they just made the English spoken text all in caps.

I personally heard that this particular game is pretty decent and shows a lot of potential, while all the others in the series are trash.
Hopefully the devs will realize that and have the future installments become legitimately great instead of taking the easy way out and bloat the game with even more fanservice.
