There's usually a stream or two running most days. Check or ask in the thread
Here is also some recordings of successful cases

>Why can I not connect to the server or even see the server?
The master server recently changed, so you'll have to
Change masterserver.ini's 0=[...] line to 0=51.255.160.217 to play Attorney Online.
In Attorney Online/Client/Base/
Also of note, area 0, the area you land in is dead 99% of the time. What you want to do is type /area in the OOC (Gray box to your right) and that'll tell you a number (which is never accurate) of how many people are in an area. Usually it's a good idea to go to an area with the most people and ask in OOC if there's a case. To change areas, double click the courtrooms under ===AREAS===

I did this for a reason, and I won't again. Lol.
With a little bit of patience, this game is a blast.

Suffering.
How easy is it to get into this if you have no idea what you're doing?
>>339855347
I suggest to play trilogy Ace Attorney to have a grasph of how it works and not spoiler yourself the game because they often about the game's lore.
Otherwise it's pretty easy to understand how it works.
If you can see some streamer and/or spectate a case, you can understand how it works.
>>339855712
I've played most of the AA games and ive seen a bit of livestreams before, I was just wondering when cases are being played do people just make shit up as they go along or are people given knowledge of what their role in the case is. Like does the guy playing the culprit know what happened during the murder before the actual court case?
>>339856073
Basically 50% of the players are Dungeon Masters, but the lawyers and prosecutors can be new players
To put it blunty, this game is like a mix between SS13 and Town of Salem with an Ace Attorney twist where improv is important
>>339856073
For the most part cases are entirely improved, but occasionally the witnesses will coordinate with each other to set a story straight beforehand
>>339856073
Each case has a DOC file where they submit their role before the case starting, so everyone know the role.
Someone wrote the basic case (where, how is dead and the evidence against the defendant)
Once this is make up, the witnesses do the testimony whaever they want, as long it's doesnt turn into some wierd shit or it has sense.
Prosecutor and Defense play the game by how the witnesses went.

alright, i just downloaded this game.
anyone wanna try a case with me?
>>339860105
We are currently at 2 and it is a wild ride, if you are interested in watching, of course
As for building, come to area 0 (the default area) and meet me there, I"ll be using Hawk anon
If you need tips for how the whole process of a case happens, feel free to ask.
Anyone got the screencap of Edgeworth asking the judge if he is incompetent?

This gonna take a while, hope you guys are still playing by the time this finishes
>>339853134
I need a link for this case
>>339862253
We are there 24/7, however the game gets significantly less populated during European times
Also, try the mega download, it will at least be faster than 2kb/s

Absolute trash, written cases 5ever
I'm confused about how to merge the update files with the full game. I know that it said how to do it but I didn't understand
>>339866528
Click yes to overwrite. Put them in in the order they were released, so you always overwrite files with a more recent version.

MEGA just reached a bandwith limit that i didn't even knew it existed
So yeah, if you guys could help seeding the torrent i'd appreciate it
>>339866505
People really haven't any new pre-written cases. Are you going to make some anon?
>>339867308
There is a torrent for the game?
>>339867410
It's on OPs doc, full version with all the updates

AO vidya can be fucking fantastic but it depends on a really savvy collection of people to shine.Perhaps you, anon, could be one of those people.

>>339870116me too
Area 4 is in need of people, case is ready to go.
>>339870450
>you get yourself involved in an 8-hour case after 11pm
>>339865864
That fucking airtight logic.
>>339872097
Seriously how frequent are mistrials? They should only really occur when either the detective or the witness REALLY fuck up bigtime, otherwise there should be enough ammunition for def or pro to argue not guilty or guilty.
>>339872216
>we never used this courtroom anymore
So does AO have spoilers for Great Ace Attorney too?
i wanna play this game but i feel like there's gonna be a bunch of insiders and a circlejerk community that makes the game unplayable
>>339872441
Not many people played it and the few DGS characters we have don't have any spoiler anymations so I don't think so.
>>339873307
There's no circlejerk, hell most people get mad at namefags here.
Just don't go to the rec-room, that place is a true circle jerk.
>>339873307
Nah, I started playing several weeks ago as co-defense, worked my way around the courtroom after than and nobody ever called me out on shit. Some positions play themselves, I'd just stay away from being a witness until you get a good grip on how things are done. Also make sure you can commit like 6+ hours to a case before your put yourself forward, they can take a while.
>>339872334
Surprisingly, more cases have been finishing.
So there are a more guilty verdicts than mistrials
>>339851678
Does this run on java? Been watching people play this for a long time but group policy prevents Java from being installed on my machine
>>339873993
Yeah, well that should be the status quo right? I mean the evidence + detective + """decisive testimonies""" are supposed to indicate guilt initially.
I want to play this but I'm a faggot who is too easily swayed by other people's opinions and logic.
>>339875152
We all are to some degree, join us
>>339875152
You'd make a perfect judge them
>>339875152
Then play Judge.
or Larry witness.
>>339853134
I keep seeing this cap, but I don't see any case labeled "God is Dead" in either LawfuckDickish's or Guardly's highlights/past broadcast.
>>339874429
In the last 6 cases i did last month, only one was mistrial. The other one was because it was late and everyone wanted to go to sleep
>>339876120
That is because the streamer (Guardly) changed the label to "God is Dead" after the pedophile shit kept growing and he clearly couldn't deal with it.
How important is it to keep in character to their canon counterparts? I only played the first game, would it be a problem if everyone from the first game was already picked and i had to use someone else?
>>339876387
Well, what's it supposed to be called?
>>339876559
It's not a big issue.
I play Manfred as a standard prosecutor then doing a couple of joke/phrase as if i was him but nothing more and no one said anything at that.
I suggest to play the other two games anyway because they are good too anyway.
>>339876634
see >>339864383 as it's a pic from the same case, but an earlier moment
>>339876559
It's not that important though I recommend to keep playing the games.
>>339876941I couldn't find that one either, actually.
>>339876559
You are free to play characters however you want. There was a case where some guy played Gregory Edgeworth as a noire detective.
You should still play the games though because A) they're good games and you should play them anyway and B) you're likely to get casually spoiled by people using characters from later games
>>339876936
>>339876948
>>339877315
Well i don't know how people generally view Ace Attorney, but i liked the first more because of cracking the puzzle that is the courtroom than the VN aspect of it, what little i played of 2 matched some accounts on 2 relying too much on guessing and guide-dang-it and that really kils my motivation
However checking this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOgKv9WTw9w) looks so much fun, not only as a Ace Attorney but also as a battle of wits and pure fun in general that i can barely contain myself from trying it right now
>>339877086BECAUSE IT'S GONE THANKS TO GUARDLY BEING A STUPID SLUT!
Seriously how long is the average case? I've been involved in four now and NONE of them have lasted less than 5 hours.
>>339878374
4 hours is usually the minimum, maybe 3.
The longest I've been in have been9hours.
But most are usually around 4-6.
>>339878374
This one's only 3 hours.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTh2na0ooiE
>>339878374
Real ones take a while too dummy.
Difference being that the people in AO are fucking dumbasses and not trained attorneys
>>339878517
>9hours

It's a special type of hell.

>>339878743
>>339878780aaaaaaaAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
And i thought I'v ebeen into some hell holes (5-6 hours, maybe more)
>>339878374
The average seems to be creeping up recently. There have been a whole bunch of cases over 6 hours long in the near past.
>>339878897
Just wait anon.
You'll have a case like that eventually.
Once you start playing, you can never stop.
>one of the leads consistently types terrible engrish
It can be amusing to a point.
>>339879623

>>339879623
It's on our bingo for a reason
>>339879292
I fucking hope not. Thankfully so far I'm only watching AO, and that not even very regularly
I remember when some guy came here to tell us about this game since it was dying, then played as Payne and bullied an Apollo comparing him to a blind girl.
Did the game become livelier like the guy wanted?
Stream of Area 4 starting.

NEW CASE STARTING SOONIt's a Darksyde Phil case
>>339882323
Make it as convoluted as possible, like yesterday's with an indirect murder and 14 timelines.
I don't get how it's supposed to make any sense if it's improv. Is there a series of events and details characters are given in secret that they must adhere to?
>>339884075
A case document is made before a case starts, that has evidence, a case summary, and a map.
And from there witnesses improv what they saw.
>>339884075
>I don't get how it's supposed to make any sense if it's improv.
That's the catch. Sometimes it all falls apart if people box themselves in too much, or someone tries to go somewhere crazy and no one is willing to follow
