Check the Rockstar Newswire when some gamemodes have double R$. Last time all races were like that so if you play solo you can earn quick bucks.
Do daily objectives for 30 days without stopping and you'll get huge money in the end. If some two-player modes are required then just go on a public game and wait for some guy to invite you to the same activity.
Once you achieve the million dollar cap, go straight into VIP and do some quick missions on your own like the Sightseer or the Briefcase asset.

pc has the saving grace of modding for those who care. I can bring in vehicles and weapons that rockstar left as only online to singleplayer and get an infinite garage. I'm excited to add that reaper to my collection but R* will never ever make this shit available through normal means in SP despite how fucking easy it would be.

It's not the playerbases fault desu. The way the lobby system is done is just bad. It's the one thing rockstar struggle with. Multiplayer lobby systems.
They have the open world single player down to an art but multiplayer lobby systems they can't into. GTA IV fucked it up, RDR fucked it up. Now V has fucked it up.

Modding is pretty much all I need. I just want to roam around the map with a permanent No Wanted Level cheat on or something so I can dick around wherever and whenever I want without needing to spend 5 minutes driving away from cops in the middle of nowhere.
