So am I, but apparently it takes around 15 hours of grind to unlock one operator and even more to unlock the free DLC ones. I don't think I'm up for that.

Don't do it, it'll cost you 200 thousand renown (in game currency) to get all the operators (300 thousand including DLC operators) assuming you use your R6 credits (shill currency) to buy 2 operators when it usually takes only 25 thousand for all normal operators or 125 thousand including DLC operators.

Some one had the same question i quote a dev "The Operators will be locked, but you will receive the Renown that you paid for them once you unlock it. You will also have any attachments/skins purchased for that Operator during the free weekend unlocked once you have purchased it."
So what I gather from the store page, you basically have access to 4 operators at the start.

I didn't play much, but they have quite varying loadouts, the most extreme differences being things like some operators get riot shields while other operators get things like a P90. Other than that there's the skills each one gets and they do have pretty differing skills and they pretty much define the character.

Depends on situations. Termite/ Thatcher combo on the offensive team is almost always must have. On Defensive Rook is most played because he has extra armour plates to give. And Mute does the job of cock blocking drones Thermite's charge.

Anon, is a great game, A FUCKING GOOD ONE, with nice mechanics, tight gameplay, each operator is fun, killing and shooting feels great.
BUT
1) uPlay sucks, holy shit
2) the game is filled with hackers. There is no anti cheat system so get ready to get salty. The worse is thaat shooting through the walls is an important mechanic of the game, and hackers use that to their advantage to not be spotted and to fuck you
