Depends. We play with artifacts that modify the base game massively.
Glass is core. 5x base damage, and 10% base health.
Spite makes things throw out explosive balls on death.
Other artifacts depends on the host.

Origin is sometimes used, but doesn't really change much.
Sacrifice removes chest spawns with item drops on enemy death. Most hosts use that artifact so that enough items can spawn for the given player count.
Honour + Command are normally activated or deactivated as a pair. Honour makes all enemies spawn as Elite versions, so more enemy health later on and deadlier attacks. Command changes item drops to chests that let you choose your item from items of that rarity.
When these artifacts are turned on, you get a very fast-paced, cutthroat experience with regular player deaths. There's only 3 players I think that can consistently stay alive.
