I feel like the nemesis system was kind of wasted on the shallow auto-play combat. I don't even hate the combat, it's just way too easy to trivialize every threat
the only story quests worth a shit are the hunting quests with the dwarf, and that's only because the dwarf is the only almost likable character in the game
the filler quests where you have to assassinate/infiltrate the orc army with your own warchiefs was better than any setpiece quest

Literally nothing about this game was good. The graphics were mediocre, the story and characters were beyond shit by themselves but infinitely worse when compared to the plethora of LotR lore they were shoehorned into and the combat was mind numbingly boring.
It's like someone took an asscreed game, dumbed it down so that monkeys could succesfully complete it without encountering a single challenge and then painted it lord of the rings to cash in on the Hobbit movies.
There's even that video of that faggot fighting a huge mob of enemies with his eyes closed and his keyboard upside down or something else similarly ridiculous.
It wasn't really that great and combat became kind of tedious, but I did beeline to unlock all abilities whenever I could, and finished most of the story in a day...

Masterpiece? No. The nemesis mechanic is truly awesome and the game is definitely fun though. It's fatal flaw is that you become far too badass far too quickly and the nemesis system and any difficulty fly out of the window.
