Only one map with proper DI (Yoshi's Story); I believe jigglypuff can even survive on stadium if she's grounded at the start of it. And Roy has absolutely no way of attacking jigglypuff, and roy gets completely destroyed in return. It's probably a 20/80 matchup.

Playing good players in pools is the best part of being a scrub though. The first time I ever played somebody in the top 50 and lost I was amazed at how efficient they were and how they capilazied on my bad habits. It 's one thing to see them win on stream but another to play them yourself. I don't think new blood should lose that opportunity.

Not sure what you mean by "normal" but I'd say that characters like fox, marth, sheik, and puff are all very good even at low levels of play. Even if you're slow, don't know fancy tech, and can't shorthop, fox and sheik are very fast, do tons of damage, and have great finishing moves. Puff beats all characters except for Fox, assuming the players are at an equal level of skill. Marth's sword and grab range are fucking huge. On the other hand, Falcon requires a lot more work to get to the same level.
As for other characters at low levels of play, I'd give more weight to things like samus' projectiles, sheik's needles, and even Link's projectiles.

Not him, but it should always be with top level play in mind. Match ups aren't described like "70-30 at a low/mid level but it's 50-50 at top level", shit like that is retarded. Potential should always be thought of as much as humanly possible since no one is legit going to be playing at a TAS level. If Puff whiffs a rest at 0, Fox can potentially kill her by racking up damage via phantom hits but that's not humanly possible.

There's a lot more to this other than leffen being a dick like always. Imagine being leffen/PPMD/Mango etc and being swarmed by fanboys wanting to interact with their favorite player at a tourny. Additionally, they have to do interviews, photoshoots, promote their advertisers etc. It takes a lot of time to do all that AND make it to your pool matches. It's not the matches themselves that are bothering him, it's that he has to make time to get up and go to pools when he could be doing the other things mentioned above. If they can skip pools, then on for tournaments with an entire day of pools, they can spend the day relaxing playing friendlies and probably play a lot of different people while doing so.
Just my 2 cents on it.

Just because you get dash attack spammed/Ftilt fair'd by round 1 pools sheik cuz you're bad doesn't mean the character does not have large amounts of execution needed to be good. She's definitely not near Fox or Falco, but the char is way harder to play than Peach, and I say this as a Peach secondary behind my Falco.
