Th game being put on a Chinese server may lead to people being able to play it across the world. SquareEnix is working their ass off to block foreign IPs, but most Chinese run games don't.
And if they notice a million non Chinese people playing the game on Chinese servers, they may release it outside China as well. But even if they don't, at least we have some fucking way to play it.
