Which of the new Pokemon protagonists are the canon ones?

I want to say the slightly tanned ones since that's supposed to be the normal skin color on the new island but most of the short clips I've seen show the dark haired white people. Also the kid moved to the island or whatever so I suppose the native skin color doesn't really mean anything about the main character.
