Those 3 alone make getting through the game a chore when you shouldn't even feel that way when playing a game like that.
The calibration is seriously fucked up. You need to make sure your instruments' firmware is up to date. You update it manually yourself by connecting them to your PC via Bluetooth.
Then you have to fiddle with the tv's audio and video and the game's calibration setting in order to find a correct calibration between the game, the instruments, and the tv. That setting may only work for that single sitting or even just a couple songs. and EVEN if you do have the calibration perfect, you have to deal with shit hit detection(on the drums) and an unsteady framerate
That's not even the half of it.
-No online play(they added LEADERBOARDS recently but that should've been something that came out with release)
-No keyboard
-Terrible customization:
Rockband 1 through 3 had body type customizations that were decent and varied, a multitude of styles of clothes, ability to customize your clothes with paint, ability to customize and make a band with custom logo, and a lot more.
In RB4 you can't do that. You get 1 body type(skinny hipster) for each gender and 10 different faces for each. Theirs only like 15 different tops, 10 different bottoms, and 10 different shoes.
There were categories in Rockband 1 through 3 likes gloves and masks and hats but they don't have that anymore. The most you can do in RB4 is have a sweater with a pair of jeans or classy pants with the same model as jeans- the only difference being the texture.
There's a lot wrong with this game. Every Rockband game before this one had more features and more, and even better, content.
It's just a filthy fucking mess and I paid $200 for it. If I still have the motivation later I might bump this thread or make thread showcasing everything wrong with this shitty game sometime in the future with webms

I think the reality is they rushed that shit out the door to get it out before GH:Failure and in turn, ended up fucking themselves. It really doesn't help that most of the core devs who were around during the good ol' days have left as well but all the things that the game lacks is what really kills it for me (especially the lack of online since now it's nearly impossible to get friends over to play regularly.)

Activision pumped the fuck out of gh, and in a way poisoned the well for harmonix and their rb games. So many of the things coming out with dlc, extra instruments, several bargain bin rip offs and a few other factors really sped up the phasing out of rhythm shit.
