I genuinely think it's that Gearbox got cocky, since I believe that BattleBorn was properly revealed (as in gameplay stuff) earlier than Overwatch. But yeah, GB definitely should've delayed the game a couple of months.

Battleborn and Overwatch aren't even that similar, Gearbox just acted like the two were going head to head in an attempt to gather more attention when they realized nobody gave a shit about BB.
