Salt and Sanctuary is 2d dark souls.
Castlevania symphony of the night is closer to 2d dark souls than DCSS. Dungeon crawl stone soup is a great rogue like but it is waaaaaay different than DS and waaaaaay harder (and it's one of the easier roguelikes. Try MAngband if you really want to kill yourself. It has the dark souls pvp experience)

Without going full autism, the core of a roguelike is on its tactical gameplay. That means, deciding your moves, which items to use, which spells to use, which monster to attack/avoid because of different speeds. You simply can not make the most tactical decisions with time constraints such as a real time gameplay.
Replacing turn based to real time will make the game be about skillful gameplay, that is, the being good at hand-eye coordination and speed, which plays absolutely nothing like Rogue.

Rogulikes are all about being careful and constantly weighing risk of every decision.
