I agree, it got better with >>339729789 though. Though it's hard to be objective with which Zelda game is the best because a lot of what makes one great for one person makes it bad for someone else. I for example like the twilight world parts of the game and how they look, I like playing as the wolf, I have no problem riding the horse to the next location because I felt it gave the game a sense of scale and made you excited for what was next, however I know that a lot of people hate those things.

The GameCube Zelda games are by far the worst in the series. Twilight Princess was mere pandering to Ocarinafags and Wind Waker was boring as fuck, especially that Triforce shards quest.
I've always liked A Link to the Past the most. Maybe it's because they squeezed every last byte available to make it work, but it feels like a more 'complete' world than Ocarina of Time.
However, I like Twilight Princess' version of Hyrule the most. It feels so large and mysterious.

It's slow and tedious. It's so bad that in the HD version they had to add a special sail that makes you go much faster especially considering it takes 10 minutes to get from one side of the map to other, which might sound like good exploration at first but it really considering it's a whole bunch of nothing.

Maybe the only thing I would award this game is the music and the art style, even though I didn't really like the art style.
It's arguably the easiest game in the series, the hidden skills are cool but break the AI, and the overworld feels a bit empty for its size.
Still my personal favorite game in the series, though. Dem dungeons, mang.
TP is so bad it's not even overrated. There are only a small percentage of Zelda fans who consider it a great game.
OOT and MM are objectively better and WW is overall a much more fun experience.
TP and SS are just trash with really poor ideas put into them.
