All battleharems are essentially interchangeable. Quality is basically dependent solely on the quality of the protagonist. For instance, Hundred is godawful, whereas Rakudai and Seiken no Tsukai were both entertaining, fun romps (OMOIDASHITA!).
One thing Asterisk DOES have is oodles of budget so the animation is almost always on-point and the fight scenes look great.

By the end of the first couple volumes (and the end of the anime) the protagonist is already going out with Stella. He's not interested in anyone other than Stella, even if his sister loves him from the bottom of her heart but accepts that he'll never see her in such a way and instead only wishes for his happiness.
Even the girls he defeats never join his harem, they just become rivals that you will (in some cases) see later on in the story.
It's closer to a battle shounen than a harem, but actually has swift romantic development.
