Yeah I know that, I also know how to long jump by pressing down+A and then jumping, but still the level of technical skill required to S-rank levels is TAS-tier.
I've read about an exploit to the physics in the game that let you boost in air without touching the ground, I think you have to use the jets with C-buttons and then grab with B at the same time, very fast, speedrunners of this game use it, but I can't pull it off and would rather do it without exploiting that if possible.

Not them, I like the game actuallyit's pretty good while you're dude weed lmaoing[/spoile], but the problem is has is that
1) it's different from Yoshi's Island (this is subjective though as it doesn't really need to be the same to be good)
2) its design is questionable. you complete levels by eating fruit and there's virtually no challenge in doing so, only if you go for melon-only runs to get hi-score is when the game gets challenging (and it gets SUPER challenging).
Story mode only lets you play 6 levels (out of the 24 in total) so most people think the game is short as fuck.
It's a charming game, and boasts a very eye candy at direction and it performs at smooth constant 60fps with lots of sprites on screen moving at once (pic related) but it isn't without its flaws.
