You are right, but if you have an income and a steady dealer, why not take drugs in all kinds of different situations. I took shrooms and wen't on hikes, took shrooms and just stayed in my bad laughing for hours, took shrooms and played vidya, took shrooms and watched Pink Floyd concerts, took shrooms and just talked with friend, took shrooms and spent the whole trip alone in a room with lights turned off.
Once I took shrooms and wen't to an art gallery at the place where my gf's dad works... that was a horrible mistake, it was extremely stressful to try and behave normally.
The point is, all of those experiences were unique and interesting in their own way.

I wouldn't know, I never took acid. However I couldn't recommend shrooms hard enough. Some of the best experiences in my life were on shrooms, I never had a bad trip, every single one was a tsunamy wave of happiness, relaxation. I also felt smarter, like I could judge myself with 100% honesty and brutality and not feel bad about it. I can dissect every single one of my flaws at that point and be amazed that I allow certain things in life to bother me or get to me. The problem with shrooms is that it's difficult to remember exact details of your thoughts once the trip passes.
They are not very visually intensive, but they deffinetly cause hallucinations, they are just mild. The trippiest thing on shrooms in when you close your eyes, your brain will produce what feels like thousands of colorful images per second.

Played left 4 dead 2 while on 9 grams of shrooms.
Whenever I fired my sniper rifle it felt like the bullet was coming from my finger and that there was kick to my mouse. Watching zombies heads explode was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, it was so much more visceral. I could see every little chunk flying through the air.
Everything was much more intense and running away from zombies/playing survival felt insane.

Some games on lucy become the most insanely hilarious experience. I actually, because of reasons, played through one of the single player campaigns of one of the CoD's because I was bored and my other plans didn't pan out.
Anyway, the entire game was hilarious. Terrible, terrifying experiences probably the worst thing I've experienced in my life, but you have to understand, you're just having a severe anxiety attack and the shrooms will only last like 2-3 hours. (unlike acid which is 12)
Shrooms can put you in a weird headspace and they are really "heavy" on your body so they can be a bit hard to handle.
With that said, some of my Shroom trips have been the hands down best experiences of my life.

Weed I found is something you have to do quite a bit to get a hang of.
First few times I did weed I ended up almost passing out and vomiting or got really paranoid and anxious, then I went in with the mindset "I'm going to enjoy this, it's just a substance, it will be over in a hour" and thats when I started to control and enjoy it.

It doesn't change your perception of reality too much, and depending on how "grounded" you are in reality, and how comfortable you are with yourself, the effects aren't always as described.
It also has a bit to do with what you're doing, for instance, watch the most scary horror movies on weed and it can fuck you up, all while comedies can make you giggly and so on.

This is what I used to get, it's anxiety.
The big one I get is focus too much on my heart beat and swallowing worrying it will go down the wrong tube into my lungs and kill me.
All you need to remember is:
Nobody has died on Weed, it only lasts like an hour anyway, just chill out.
Even if shit did go into your lungs, very unlikely you will die unless your an elderly person already very sick or dying of aids already or something. In the very rare, rare circumstance this shit would actually happen, you would just be put on a course of antibiotics.
The best mindset to go into any drug is "I'm going to enjoy this, I'm just under the effects of a drug, it's going to be out of my system in a few hours anyway, I've already taken it, there is nothing I can do except ride it out".

One of my friends has this. I once saw him do 600mg of MDMA in frustration and did nothing. DMT did nothing, Shrooms got him a little tipsy but that was it. 4 tabs of acid did nothing.
Likely though you just didn't do enough.
Psychedelics you have to do as big a dose you can in the first hit.
The reason is your brain puts up a "tolerance" for psychedelics, it learns how to deal with them while on them, so you can never really "top up" really while on them and this tolerance lasts about a week.
So if you do a tab of acid, and you did another tab in 2-3 hours, you just wasted that second tab. But if you do 2 tabs at once at the beginning your trip will be double. Same with shrooms or any psychedelics really.
Another important thing is mind space, if you are not in a good mood, the drug might not come on or come on very weakly, remember drugs are based on your brain and experiences.
Good tip with MDMA is take a dose of 140mg for the first dose, then 80mg if you want to extend it for the second dose an hour later. (MDMA tolerance doesn't come on for about 2-3 hours)
