How many USB controllers do you have? At least two? If so emulators are probably your cheap sure bet. You can go with recent "couch" multiplayer titles like Ultimate Chicken Horse, samurai gun, lastfight and Gang Beasts.
If you only have keyboard and mouse, you could try booting up a short narrative game--Jazzpunk, Gone Home, Amnesia (if she's down with horror).
