The problem isn't with the Zero Suit. It makes sense to wear a jumpsuit that interfaces with the suit instead of just underwear (but I do wish it looked more like a plug suit). The problem is with its exposure.
It was fine when it was only at the end of Zero Mission, Prime 2 and 3. You had to play the game to the end to see it.
