I found part 5 to be quite boring. The beginning and end were pretty good but the whole journey to get there was forgettable and I could never follow what was going on, Part 6 is in a similar vein but I enjoyed it more than 5, I disliked the ending to 6 though.

Pretty much agree, though I didn't exactly find 5 completely boring. The things is that it's the Naruto of Jojo's and Giorno is easily the most boring protagonist. If it weren't for Bruno and Mista the whole thing would've sucked hard. A lot of fights kind of drag out, but I think there are lots of great stands. What I really think sets it apart is that it's probably the one part where 2 decent sized groups of stand users fight each other all at the same time. Unlike naruto the fight isn't completely boring, just kinda drags on. I liked the fight on the train a lot, but only because the dude with the fishing line stand got real hype. Araki really hustled the readers by making the guy look like a pussy before the fight.

As for Part 5, I found it boring mostly due to not getting involved with the characters. To this day I can only remember Giorno, and Diavolo. Everyone else is either a stand name (Sex Pistols, Moody Blues, Spice Girl) or someone froma previous part.With Parts 1-4 I was really involved with the characters and this made me want to read on more and remember more of it. It's sort of why I only perked up at the beginning and end of the whole arc.
I don't know, it could just be me. Thinking back I did rush through Part's 5 and 6, 5 took a week, and 6 took 2 days, so that could explain about why I've forgotten/not cared.
Even though I just finished Part 7 last week, and I'm reading 8 a side of me wants to read the whole thing again so I can truly understand my opinions of the series.
