>gift game to friend

I feel your pain.
It's worse when you explicitly ask them if they're interested in it, and they go "YEAH MAN!". But still, they never end up playing it.
The least they could do is be honest and make no guarantee if they'll play it or not. That way, I could properly weigh it against other people I could gift the game to.
>friend gifts me Gone Home
>six months later "So I see you haven't played Gone Home yet..."
>introduce gf to vidya with your favorite game
>now she plays it, but with that dude she cheated on you with
>tell friends not to gift me anything
>still get games sent to me
>day before and after holidays/birthday but not on so it doesnt seem like that's what they're doing
>friend gifts you a game you already pirated and beat
>friend gifts you $60 game out of nowhere
>didn't think you were that close
>have notorious backlog problem and feel lukewarm about game
It's GTA5 and I know the single player is probably good(though holy shit I hated the online we tried) but I got like two hours in and wasn't feeling it.
I dunno, if I'm not in the mood for a certain genre I just can't play it no matter what. Maybe in another year I'll finally appreciate dat game.

Just turn it on for 56 seconds and he should be convinced enough.
