Might and Magic is a first person RPG with heavy emphasis on exploration. MM6 is the easiest one to get into and can be played realtime and turnbased.

Don't think there's any update on it but really, its no surprise he lost interest in Ubi after they repeatedly refused to market the games he was working on and wouldn't let him make the ubi-art engine open source like he wanted.

Oh people know what companies MIGHT hold the rights but none of those companies are willing to actually look through their archives and figure out what portions they own and whether they'd like to sell. They're content to basically say "if you rerelease the game, we'll sue you for ownership but we don't actually care enough to investigate whether we actually own it so you can buy it from us."
