Seriously Ubisoft?

Would it be possible for Watch_Dogs 2 to be an even bigger mistake
Was there anything they actually got right, that could be made worse?

To be honest, there wasn't a lot to Watch_dogs in the first place. I only played a small amount but I feel like the game was just trying to be a slightly cheaper version of GTA, with an inoffensive lead character. They have a lot of room to improve upon the core game concept, maybe flesh out a few of the mechanics and give the series it's own identity.

Knowing Ubisoft though, it'll most likely be some derivative garbage, without any sort of redeeming feature. If they try anything new at all, the game will be ignored by the gaming populace and Ubisoft will be even less likely to take creative risks. If they create the same cookie-cutter bullshit then the game will probably still be ignored by all the people who were burnt by the last game, only this time Ubisoft will hopefully learn that they need to create something actually interesting instead of relying on franchises for profit.

I really don't know why Ubisoft think that the people are desperate for more Watch-dogs. Perhaps they have something interesting in store, though I highly doubt that.

Seriously what? Seriously they are making a sequel to a great selling and overall great game?

Yes, seriously. Watch Dogs is great. Take your memes and shove them up your ass.
>>

The game fell off the radar almost as quickly and gracelessly as shadow of mordor. The game is only ever talked about in context of ubisoft.

Did anyone actually want Watch_Dogs 2?

I mean I get that its and IP that was designed to become a series, but did anyone actually want it to? Who even cares about Watch_Dogs?
>>
My sister works in advertisement for Ubi and she got WD2

I've seen some gameplay

It's in San Fransisco, it's color full, it is coop-gunfight oriented over the hacking mechanics and it's total garbage

it's all I saw

wait and see
>>
>>339662064
It's the best-selling new IP of the last few years and normies adored it.

>tfw friends were begging me to buy the division when it came out
>no one plays it now and it's a hackers paradise with shit-tier interactivity

WHY WON'T ANYONE LEARN
>>
So is this the actual reason why there's no Assassin's Creed this year?
>>
>>339662086
I'm willing to believe this because I can imagine that the hacking mechanics would be toned down or outright removed over improving the gunplay and of course it's in a well known city like San Francisco but not an overused one like New York.
>>
>>339662842
I think they said they're pushing out a new Asscreed this year.
>>
>>339663234
Nope, no new AssCreed in 2016.

watch doge XD
>>
>>339662064
I sorta do, on the pretense they do the same with the IP that they did for asscreed
I mean the first game had some right ideas but was muddied and a lot of fuckery obviously went on behind the scenes which bled into the graphics scandal and the story being a hot mess.
Just wish that the second one can capitalize on the ideas the first one had properly and be nothing but an improvement in all areas.
It won't though

Oh yeah, it's gonna be spring of next year or something.

So... More of GTA: IT Edition

Even if this post is a lie, it's probably right anyway.

This IP needs less guns and more hacking meme.

Is that the ICONIC item you get for preordering the game?
>>

Yes. I fucking did. I bought the fucking division wanting watch dogs two and it almost drew me in.
>>
>yfw this does for Watch_Dogs what Assassin's Creed 2 did for that IP
>>
>>339663927
Yes it's pretty much this, It's like they are trying to have GTA V visual influences.

Even if I know some stuff about this incoming failure, I don't give a shit about it.

I stopped giving Ubi any credits a long time ago now

I'm hoping for this. Liked the original game but it had its share of problems.
>>
>>339659269
I could have sworn this was something everyone knew about

>>339659665
WD is like Saints Row it just has to be released before GTA6 and it will do well.

I'm sure Ubi will reuse the same map and double the activities or add a real multiplayer component and call it a day

the main character will probably be shuttled away as well, since he was one of least popular things about Watch_Dogs 1.

That first "gameplay" trailer was hype af
Sweet asS lexus being chased by cops
mc clicks his phone and the streets raise up as if that is something that can happen anywhere.
then the actual game released and it was just reskinned urban far cry.
>>
>>339659269
While the man character was a total waste losing all empathy during his quest, the game itself was fairly solid. I really enjoyed the hacking mechanics and wish they'd expand on that. The shooting was alright but not key to many of the missions. In fact I was pretty damn happy when I was able to complete and entire mission by hacking surveillance cameras and body-cams, never once putting myself in harm's way.

I would hope for an expansion of the hacking, a better protagonist ( T-bone in the DLC had great character and story ), and maybe less repetition in the side missions.

I'll buy it. Probably on sale.
>>
I really enjoyed playing it as a stealth game. The mechanics were basic but still fun.
>>
Am I the only one here who kinda enjoyed watch dogs?
>>
>>339659269
Wow its the completely standard free Raybans case you get with any pair with a shitty video game logo stamped on it! Thanks Ubishit!
>>
>>339661338

I actually felt the gunplay was alright and if polished could have been really good. Shooting people in this game was fun.

I kind of believe you, since the game was rumored to be set in San Francisco.

Reveal trailer was so good
I mean it was really about time and place. One of the most boring E3's in years, with every game pretty much announced prior to the event. Suddenly Ubishit saving the day by releasing that hype ass new IP bomb on everybody. Literally the only memorable thing of that E3. If there's one thing you can complement modern day ubi of, its that they know how to do proper E3 reveals and not be boring cunts like sony or nintendo
