I think the majority of his fanbase has changed and he's changed along with it. Honestly, while his newest video isn't as good as the average old JT video, it was a step in the right direction. Either that or he just got lucky, but either way I actually got a few genuine laughs from it.
Though honestly, his charm (for me anyway) came from him not only making funny videos about shitty games, but also games where he praised really good ones, which were very confy to watch.
