Revengeance is one of the most mashy braindead experience ever, not helped by enemy designs that never forces the player go beyond mash light + parry, and bosses filled with QTEs for the easily amused casual crowd, coincidentally why did nobody call out MGR's qtes whereas DmC got shatted?
MGSV is a sandbox fuck about simulator than an actual stealth game. Game being open world did nothing but make the game even blander and make commutes even a bigger waste of time.

I will give you that the qtes are obnoxious (even though they aren't as intrusive as they are in other games), but the combat is nowhere near as braindead as you describe it unless you are playing on easy or normal.

Ground zeroes was a large well designed base, with enemy patrols, security cameras, interiors, etc.
The majority of enemy bases in TPP were like, a tent and a small sentry tower. Or a half-wrecked hut and a tower. Or 3 tents and an outhouse. There was nothing to sneak through.
