I have no idea what this game is much less what genre of game it is but I will say this, the artstyle is just fucking terrible, now I'll never played overwatch because I despise first person shooters but at least Overwatch has consistency and a much better art direction that looks aesthetic.
Now the game might actually be good and could be superior to overwatch but dam the art behind this game is just so fucking bad

Battleborn literally has one of the worst match making protocols ever. It finds a group of 5 people in the region you selected regardless of MMR/rank. It then tries to find another group of 5 people in your region either solos or a pre-made. Then matches the 2 groups.
The problem is
1. It takes too long and if someone in your or the other group leaves during the process it has to start all over.
2. It leads to huge imbalance with a team of level 100's vs a team of sub level 20's.
3. If you're in an unpopular region you are fucked.
They should have just used a system to find 10 players then split them based on MMR/ranking

Another problem was that gearbox was utter shit at marketing it. I didint know about it until threads about battleborn were spammed to hell here. Then I saw a commercial about it and it didint even say anything about the game. I just spewed generic gearbox shit like "Play all these heros and save the world n shit" which is pretty similar to blizzards game about being heros and saving the world n shit.

Apparently part of the problem is that players are having incredibly difficult times actually getting into games, and when they do get into a game, there's a bunch of ragequitters.
They literally have to make the game F2P just to invigorate its numbers so the players that are playing it actually has some enjoyment.
