Protip, TeamViewer gives you complete control over how the ruskie gets access.
And he literally can't conntect period unless you give him the random generated Teamviewer ID and Password each time. And you can just uninstall teamviewer after being done with it you know, like I did.

Also if you have a card with less than 5GB VRAM (which literally nothing except Titan and the new 1000 series has, also some AMD shit) you can't access Nightmare shadows and textures for some reason.

Using this in launch parameters to override the limit.
+menu_advanced_AllowAllSettings 1
I don't notice literally any difference between Ultra and Nightmare textures, but there is a very visible difference between Ultra and Nightmare shadows.

Pic related, Ultra.

And here's Nightmare.

Generally it's best to leave textures on Ultra since from testing in multiple areas I literally don't see any visible difference other than introduction of stuttering.
Shadows don't seem to affect the performance at all by going from Ultra to Nightmare, but the visual difference is very much worth it.

Are you retarded anon? You clearly are. Teamviewer isn't used to play it. Ruskie literally logins to his steam account on your PC (on second steam installation in a different folder), runs the game once (so it activates) and then turns that steam client into offline mode and you can play the game as long as you want as long as you leave that 2nd steam client in offline mode.

>>339576872
No? Why would you even come to that conclusion.

It's literally as simple as making a new folder say "Steam 2".
Then you put the Steam.exe inside it.
Then you contact ruskie and he logins to his own Steam account through Teamviewer on said Steam2.
Then he turns it offline (and it will always launch offline from that point onwards, I also suggest blocking it in firewall just in case).
And then you can play as long as you want provided you don't change your PC's MAC address (aka changing PC parts or changing the OS).

Actually pretty sure its on Steam as well
>>
>>339574112
Bought it full price thinking this could help me blow some steam, but so far I'm really tempted to drop it

Once the novelty of brutal takedowns wears off, there's not a lot going for this.
It doesn't try to be spooky-scary like 3, so there next to zero atmosphere. Especially since there is almost no music at all outside of fights.

And that's another thing. There isn't much in the way of fun outside of fights, and fights are scarce and predictable.
No real trap/ambush or roaming enemies that aren't a couple of possessed punching balls.
I'm not very far in the game, but so far the game is 40% action and 60% backtracking and/or looking for access to secrets and items.

And I don't mean going UH UH UH on every wall to find a switch, it's more in the lines of "ah shit I missed that spot on my map, gotta backtrack and find the climbable ledge I missed".
In complete silence.

Some will say that I should just repress my autism and just shoot my way to the exit and leave without looking back.
It sure would be a lot more intense, but then I'd really finish the game in 6 hours.
Plus so far the action isn't that good either.
You'll probably get a few "fuck yeah!" out of the brutal executions, but once the novelty wears off and then you realize you're doing those 80% of the time because shooting an enemy to death is really dull.
Guns lack punch.
The shotgun doesn't work past 1 meter. Handgun is slow and feels like a water squirter. Plasma just makes enemies ragdoll on the spot after 8 shots. The chainsaw turns enemies into ammo pinatas so obviously I can't see it as a weapon but rather as a gameplay device.
Etc.

tl;dr Not worth the full price, do not fall for Todd shilling
>>
>>339582582
>gotta backtrack and find the climbable ledge I missed

actually have to agree with this, some parts of the game slammed to a halt while I tried to figure out some obscure illogical path to continue.

lolwut, this game is probably one of the best FPS games to come out within years. It's one of the first full movement FPS games to come out within forever and it's super fun.

Granted a lot of early guns are pretty weak, and missing a secret will result in you just wandering around a quiet map trying to find a hidden path to something. The level design overall is the weakest aspect of the game, but it's nothing really that horrible. In an odd way the game reminds me of Metroid Prime a lot. The movement based shooting, the collectable logs, the enemy information, the exploration, shit's neat. That and when the combat gets ramped up it's fucking insanely fun, probably some of the most mobile and diverse shooting to come out in a long, long time. Every gun having basically 3 firing modes is nuts and adds a lot to weapon diversity, enemies having drastically different roles and different attacks makes them a lot of fun to kill. Near the end of the game I think I glory killed about 1 out of every 50 enemies I killed, it's never something that's super vital to do and even if you want to notch your health up you can speed up glory kills like crazy.

Honestly I loved the game, it manages to get a fucking lot right when it comes down to pure shooting. That and it's one of the few shooters to actually manage to have fun boss fights.
