I saw Gabe Newell at a convention in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off by shouting “HL3 CONFIRMED” and perching his arms like a T-rex. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him mutter 'casual' as I walked off. When I came to get an autograph off Felicia Day, Gabe was ahead of me in the queue and kept awkwardly hitting on her and promising her a role in L4D3.
Felicia was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, can you please put your shirt back on?.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually got dressed.
When she signed his picture of Gwyneth Paltrow, he told her to make the autograph to 'Lance Powerdick' He then turned around and winked at me.
It was at this point i realized that it wasn't really Gabe, but Wil Wheaton wearing a Steam shirt and a fedora.

I think every major company should make a version they believe to be the 'Best HL3'. Hell, even indie devs get a shot if they got the ability to release on time. Yeah, every game has to be released at the same time. They should be kept in the dark about the whole thing, about each other.
