Do you guys pirate games still ? why doesn't it feel the same when you pirate a game vs buying one off steam ? I don't even feel like completing some pirated games.
i think the achievements and just accumulating shit on steam has driven me to chose buying cheap games over pirating them
I still pirate expensive games though because i've been burned out so many times before thinking a $50-60 price tag meant i'd like it. refunds help but sometimes it takes 2 hours before you are even playing the game outside of an intro

i dont pirate games since I have over 2000 steam games just from being a bundlefag for 5 years
I was never a pirate. Maybe I would consider it, if I actually gave a shit about new games. But, since I recognize that single-player games don't degrade in quality over time, I'm content to wait until shit is on sale for $5.
All the best games I've played recently were released in the '90s or early '00s, and were cheaper than dirt.
At this point, the only games I've been buying on Steam are games I pirated and want updates for. Bought Wasteland 2 purely because the cracked updates wouldn't install properly and I was getting tired of the crashes.
Otherwise, I'll keep pirating.

This. $60 is too much for a game. I usually wait for the price to drop before buying, or just torrent.
22 DAYS!!!
For me, I'm usually more selective with my money. I won't buy something that only looks alright because I know I'll drop it after a while. I also only really buy one game at a time so as to not have a backlog.
When I pirate games I just grab whatever catches my eye because there's no consequence which leads me to drop lots of games I pirate. If I pirate a good game I'll play it to completion though.

can't wait for 33% off only on everything and no decent side content.

Having spent money on a game gives me more drive to finish it.

This
I don't pirate new games anymore but now I don't play them either.
I just buy a bunch of stuff each sale and game by backlog.
I don't pirate games any more because nothing looks appealing to me.
Having spent money on a game doesn't affect drive to finish a game especially much.

feelio when noticing grammar mistake just as hitting submit
Since I got a job I just buy games. I may pirate a small indie game to give it a shot and then buy it if I like it (I rarely pirate, but I will buy it if I like it). If it's a $60 game and I'm interested I won't bother with piracy and I'll just buy it cheap from a key reseller.

I don't pirate because I usually have the money to buy games and don't mind paying. I don't have anything against people who do pirate, though. I'm not some moralistic high hat, expecting others to act the way I would act.
I'm not an idiot who buys games at full price but if I let myself just pirate anything I want I have trouble "getting into" the game, unless it's something really fantastic. I know it's stupid but I can't help it.
Like even getting a game through a bundle for one dollar, yeah I can play it for hours if it interests me at all.
Layers of Fear
Stellaris
Koihime Enbu (?)
Those are the last 3.

I feel this. I think it's like if I'd spend money on it then I'd be willing to actually play it.
