It's not really the same. I had a couple friends who would just come over and shoot the shit with me while I played something. Usually we'd play multiplayer or take turns, but a lot of times they just wanted to watch. When you're little, yeah there's always that one kid who hogged the controller like an asshole, but that was a situation where you wanted to play and didn't get to. Sometimes you just want to sit back with a coffee and a sandwich or something and watch a video game. It's a different kind of situation.
Would I pay for it? Fuck no. Still entertaining when it's free though.
