Expert mode is challenging, all 'classes' are fun (except throwing because you probably can't pull it off in hardmode), bosses are great.

Early game bosses like Skeletron and QB can rape you in the ass if you don't know how to dodge. Especially if your opting for a non melee class with no defense.
I'm playing it on a shitty notebook older than me that runs it like shit with constant freezes, really afraid to tackle the first boss even though i'm already equipped with silver armor, platinum sword and this one sick icy boomerang

Get some sort of longer ranged weapon. Some sort of bow with flaming arrows. Boomerang should be the primary weapon you use, but make sure to keep your distance

It's interesting, in comparison to most of the underground.
Lihizard Temple is a close 2nd.
Then again, I enjoyed methodically gutting that place, so take it with a grain of salt.

Tremor is shit.
Thorium is decent.
There are way too many overambitious mods that will never come to fruition.
