at first we played versions before 0.54, because /v/ didn't like the SMG or autoclimb, but eventually people started playing 0.54 mostly, maybe because it's the first version to have votekick
0.75 has better net code and hit registration, and no wobbly glitch when looking at the ground, and even features many anons request for in these threads like spade melee and sprinting,
but /v/ refuses to play it just because of the familiar with 0.54, and of the association that new versions ruined the game, because of the SMG (Even tho that's already in 0.54) and wrongly associates 0.75 with airstrikes and shit, which was only part of modded psyspades servers, and some anons even unironically ask for airstrikes anyway
plus /v/ associates 0.75 it with the new Jagex version which was garbage and ruined everything that made AoS good, making building pointless, (except they eventually did add a classic mode for that game but the damage had already been done)
