Well, it's exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem since that's the way MS is going, which is the right move despite what /v/ says in its list wars.
Compare the sales of any xbone exclusive to the size of the 22million install base, not even makes a dent. Plus the benefits of opening it up to Windows 10 outweigh it being exclusive to only xbone, at least in my opinion.

It is the right move. A combined userbase is also beneficial in the sense that if MS EVER releases a halo that you can mod, xbox users will benefit from pc content as MS can easily pick the best mods to work with.

It's pretty hilarious to see the GS trade-in price drop to $80 this month. They're not even being subtle about the new model. Thankfully a friend bought mine for $200. The whole console was a painfully mediocre experience. Even Rare Replay wasn't enough.
