To play as: Ikaruga, Hikage, Shiki, Imu, Rin, and Dai. With the exception of Dai, I think the speedy characters or ones with long reach feel the best to control. But Dai just hits WAY too hard to ignore.

This art style leaves me utterly incapable of getting a boner.

My top 5
1. Yomi - She's pretty good in Burst, she's broken as fuck in 2 thanks to her crossbow, pretty good in EV thanks to her swings feeling like they have some weight behind them. Overall, my favorite character in the entire series
2. Ikaruga - Also pretty good in Burst, pretty good in 2 thanks to her Judgement Cut, she's also pretty good in EV despite being nerfed thanks to dash canceling
3. Renka - The best of the Mikagura Sisters without a doubt and arguably the best character not counting the boss characters. Good speed, plus beating the shit out of random mooks with drumsticks and her drum-based ninja arts is pretty good.
4. Miyabi - Her sword style is pretty fun. Her projectile attack is also pretty nice
5. Yozakura - I honestly didn't like this character that much, but now that I've gotten a few levels and gained some new moves, ground pounding enemies in the air like Jax is pretty damn fun.
Honorable mentions to Shiki, Asuka, Murakumo, Imu, and Homura.
