It already hasn't failed, it's technically a huge success, they made millions on a promise, and soon they get to sell it to make even more money.

Capcom doesn't want to make Mega Man because they have other shit to make, I doubt they'd be really against it in the current day with all of the obvious demand for it in the West, it just wouldn't really fit in their current development pipeline. I mean, look at Gunvolt, that did well enough even to justify a sequel, and Capcom isn't against making smaller games, they just still operate on a West vs Japan mindset where they make some games for their country and some games for everywhere else, and right now they are obsessed with shoving Resident Evil on us. Just give it time, I have no doubt that they'll make something eventually.

Spam filter is the easiest, second most common seems to be people having "opted out" of e-mails from survey monkey, which means people couldn't get the e-mail. Eg. like Ori and the Blind Forest (made in Unity), but not so resource intensive.

I have a feeling that the handheld ones are going to be cutting a lot of corners if they do a lazy port.

Alternatively, if they actually put proper effort into making them 2D, the handheld ones will probably look better than any other release.

Imagine if emulating the handheld ones ended up with better results than playing the actual PC release kek.

This was Inti Creates alone. If it was their work instead of Comcept's then they're better used to working under small budgets, pressure and have way more experience than the bunch of recently graduated chinese and gaijin fucks at Comcept Inafune hired, so it's no wonder that it looks better.

If it also was Inti they would create two versions, a 2D one for handhelds and a 3D one for consoles and PC, and they'd make sure it worked well. That's what they do.

I'm playing the build OP posted the game is weird
Beck's model looks like shit no matter what graphic setting but the enemy models or atleast most of them look pretty good.

Also, can't play past the intro stage, keeps crashing if I pick a stage like OP mentioned, can also comment that retro BGM makes the music a little better.

The Megaman X series are alright but you already played the best one. I don't know if the DOS version was good but either way the SNES version was probably better, so maybe give that a shot. The rest of the Megaman X games are decent for the most part, people can't seem to agree on when it goes to shit though.
People generally like X4 but some people hate it. More people dislike X5 but it's still playable, I thought it was mediocre. I think X6 is complete fucking shit and a lot of people seem to agree but some people won't stop defending it. Try it out. Everyone agrees that 7 is a piece of shit, it's when the series went 3D and they fucked it up. People seem to be ok with X8.
The Megaman Zero series on GBA are good. ZX and ZXA on DS are pretty much in the same vein as Zero.

Managed to play only the intro stage and the battle tank guy whatever his name is, he's green, a little better than I expected but suffers a lot from what was in some of the classic Mega Man games long corridors with nothing or bare minimum platforming.
