Smash DI and power shielding don't ruin him. PPMD made a good video on falco and Smash DI + Power shielding.
I'm having a problem choosing a main. I mained Marth for a few months, then switched to Falco these past 5 months. Marth's wavedash and dash dance feel good, but I struggle with his combos a little bit. Falco I have issues wavedashing with, but I understand his combo game a lot better.
Or doc cuz doc feels more natural to me than any other character.
How do I quit playing melee? Should I slowly taper off, should I use PM/smash 4 as a substitute to ease the transition, should I quit cold turkey, or something else?

Faster melee is not faster then offline crt melee
It is trying to get the dolphin emulator to be able to be exactly the same as offline crt melee.
It is faster then the build on smashladder
All I see happening is this.
Truck and Dan go back and forth with one upping each other into making a better build for melee
They are all pissed at each other but in the long run we get better netplay that will be equal to offline crt melee.

Technically it has less input lag than console

Its getting the input delay lower for netplay, with Dan's code it removes the inherent 3-frame lag, which would mess with your offline timing slightly

If it is faster, they are working on trying to make it 1 for 1 offline at all times.
I used dans code with 120fps dicked around and it is not ready to be played on netplay yet.
Offline seems really good.
This is going to take some tinkering when it comes down to it and dan might be upset and truck might be upset but we will get perfect emulation soon.
I personally think it is going to be a combination of both of their work to get it perfect.

I tried to talk to my friend about smash earlier today, all he did was tell me that using a gc controller is 'tryharding' and that he uses a wiimote because its 'easier'. When I have people over and we play melee, Rivals, or PM for fun all he does is whine about how its too hard and how the wiimote is better. He refuses to let that argument go. Even after telling him that I switched and it was easy, he still thinks computer games are superior and that controllers are useless in general. I mean I play my fair share of PC games, heck I even emulate melee on my PC but I also give fighting games their credit. Also he keeps telling me how league is better to watch than melee and how teamwork adds infinitely more complexity to a game than smash will ever have, and as someone who has played both, I appreciate melee more. what do /v/
