I still think demon progression is really lacking in the series. I'm not asking for pokemon, but level up growths aren't enough to keep most competent and they don't learn many skills. Worst of all though is the vast majority don't excel in anything stat wise, everyone is fairly well rounded and about as effective with a skill provided they can learn it than anyone else besides the MC with a proper build.

P3's did admittedly work a lot better than 4's, but my preference is really just to have the characters in a character focused game to be fleshed out. Persona 4 had the same exact sort of theme going; I have no fucking idea why people are getting upset that Persona 5 has a rather childish premise.
The problem here is that people don't understand that video games ARE for children and teenagers. Persona 5 is likely not meant to tell a complex, nuanced story, but a stylish one that appeals to the core demographic chiefly.
If you liked 4 or 3, you'll probably like this one. I played Persona 3 when I was 18 and adored it, and liked Persona 4 when I played it a year ago. I'm 26 now; the story just isn't going to have the same appeal to me that it did years ago, but I'll probably still have fun with it, the same way I had fun with Persona 4 despite it being little more than a series of glossy, well-polished anime tropes delivered in JRPG form.
