The platform is holding it back a little but then it wouldn't be as good without sony as a publisher which we can see with all the bamco souls.
So you have to pay for online and the framerate isn't as good as it could be.
Design wise the chalice dungeons were a good idea but needed more work and blood gems are this stupid thing the Japanese love so much that is just grinding for random numbers.
Didn't come to PC.
I am actually playing it tight now on my friends PS4.
I am around 60% done whit the game.
Its amazing.
But it would have bean so much better if it ran at 60 fps.
Considering how fast some enemies can be 60 fps would make there animations so much better and fair.

I felt the PvP was a bit weak in this one, I had some fun but it didn't have the lasting appeal for me that the other from soft games do.

I'm a different person, just did the same thing because I'm not buying a ps4 for one game despite how good it is.
And it did happen a lot, he told me that just got deleted after you picked them up when you were maxed which didn't make any sense to me at all but he insisted on it. He also told me insight didnt do anything but then I found out after using them like crazy it made enemies more difficult.

If you are ever low on Healing items.
Ether run thru an area tat gives tons of Curency and buy a surplus's.
Or run thru the starting area once more and kill a bunch of enemies.
Brick trolls give 2.
And regular enemies have a chance to drop 1.
You will get 20 per a 10 minute lat game run.
This is however tue only if you need to git gud and chug potions like an addict.
If you play smart chances are you will have a surplus of them.
Also Pressing up on the Dpad gives you 5 bullets at the cost of one pots worth of heeling or if you are smart you can hit enemies to refill the health it costs.
Useful late game when you find hunter tools that cost lots of bullets.
Or the cannon that eats up 12 bullets per shot.

I beat 60% of the game there are 2 people who have friends whit a PS4 and blodborne in this thread.
Also i am 60% thru the game if you count the old hunters DLC.
Wo old hunters i have 3 more bosses (only 2 mandatory) and 4 Great ones + 2 final bosses left.

Because a lot of people, myself included, bought a ps4 just for it. I wasn't even a souls fan until I played BB. I just thought the setting looked great and I preferred the faster paced take on souls combat. Buying a PS4 made me a souls fan.

From memory if you want to utilize all the trick weapons in min/maxed builds you get around 12 optimized permutations including alternate ways to use weapons with dual potentials like the wheel and chikage.
really builds in Bb just dictate what trick weapons you'll have access to and how you'll use them.

Not much really. Controls are fucking excellent. Atmosphere and setting are perfect. Level design is mostly solid.
Really the only places the game feels lacking is in bosses and enemy variety. For every Ludwig the Holy Blade, you get a shitter like Vicar Amelia, who is almost easier than the first boss in the game, or Witch of Hemwick which as the notes outside her room put it, "Woeful dullard"

It's a great action game but a shitty RPG.
Really the variety of playstyles has actually steadily gone DOWN since the first Dark Souls. In DaS1 it was perfectly viable to go over 100% equip load.

What went wrong? Online was kind of clunky, especially PvP. Password system was a fantastic addition, though.
Chalice dungeons needed more variety in terms of layouts and aesthetics. A bit more randomization, and it should've been easier to obtain materials required for creating fresh dungeons.
Fixing Chalice Dungeons alone would've allowed me to sink another couple hundred hours into the game bare minimum, without even taking PvP into account.
