i am the only one that is tired of undertale? damn, maybe the game is good but, now it has just become another "lotto franchise", you pull the trigger and see if you have luck winning some money

>>
>>339449939
I don't understand what the fuck you mean.
>>
>>339449939

What is a lotto franchise? What are you referring to exactly?
>>
>>339449939
I mean, I'm not an expert but it sounds like you're gay
>>
>>339451018
He's trying to make the next "Theme Park" meme.

That's adorable!
>>
>not replaying it 100 times

Maybe you just don't like the game and should fuck off?
>>
>>339449939
But Anon, it's the Citizen Kane of gaming.
>>
I think he means "lotto" as in "pull the lever and see if you get the jackpot." Anyway this a fucking amazing analogy, I thought the food ones were apex retardation but I guess not.

>>339451018
>>339450615
I think he meant that it's another game that got it's exposure and popularity from luck?
>>339449939
OP, no one is talking about Undertale anymore. Most people stopped talking about the actual game, even though it was good.
>>
>>339449939
Shit thread OP undertake is a solid 8/10 end of story. Nobody is even talking about it. Drink Bleach.

So... Toby sold over a million copies of Undertale, right?

That's ten million dollars. Or slightly less than that, since it did go on sale once or twice, but we can call it ten million taking into account merchandising and soundtrack purchases.

Isn't he fucking set for the next decade? Ten million before taxes is still a crazy amount. That shit could literally fund the burning wreckage that is the upcoming homestuck game.

Yeah he and that Temmie girl are pretty set. I imagine she took home a percentage of the sales.
>>
>>339452170

The next decade? He's EASILY set for life unless he manages it poorly.
>>
>>339449939
The game is good and you should give it a try before getting too spoiled.

>>339452170
He probably got 5 million. Still a good amount.

Pretty fucking good debut. I don't even know what I'd do if every kid, indie game buff and autist enjoyed my game and five million dollars fell into my lap.

Hope Toby knows how to manage his money. Must be a surreal experience to suddenly get rich.
>>
>>339451340
But it was a well written and thoroughly enjoyable game with a lot of work put into it, no luck involved
>>
>>339452859

He did, however, state that he didn't expect such a large following. I think he said in some interview that he literally threw in all the random anime and rpg tropes he personally found funny and it unexpectedly resonated with every person who knows how to use the internet.

I remember when I joined a fraternity there was a surprisingly large amount of nerds among the bro-dude people I met. I feel like everyone sees video games and anime as an escape and we're surprised when we learn other people escape to the same places. Video games feel kinda private in that way.

What's stopping you Anon?
>>
>>339449939
seriously, people dont really talk about it much outside its containment board over on /vg/

where have you been? living a real life or something? fucking normie.
>>
>>339455067
Even they barely talk about it, it's just furry porn at this point
>>
>>339452859

The music really carried Undertale as well.
>>
>>339454931

Toby may be a critically awful sprite artist, but he worked to his strengths. He's honed his music making skills, making an incredibly memorable soundtrack. This, coupled with a sense of humor that has almost universal resonance, connections to various web artists, the use of uncommonly unexplored game mechanics and the initial seed interest of the massive Homestuck community, propelled Undertale forward.

I have no merits that make me stand out as a producer of entertainment in any form and the pursuit of acquiring the skillset to do so will propel me well into my thirties where playful youth long since perished. At such an age, it would be inappropriate to pursue such a juvenile pursuit, and all the friends I have will have well grown past such fancies as well.
I am a being of unproductive, self-loathing ambition. And had I managed to achieve anything, I lack the network to pick up significant momentum. It's just like the Papyrus fight. I have no redeeming qualities.
>>
I totally know how you feel OP, but this is just how idiots behave these days.

Whatever you say anon

Goatmom is eternal

I don't understand how anyone could write that with a straight face.

>Another day on /v/.
>>
>>339452859
I said it was good, anon.
I fucking loved it.
I was just saying what OP was trying to say, no matter how true or false it may be.
