What is the best class weapon in the game? And why is it the ultra greatswords?
Pros:

>1-OHKO potentials
>Skillage from the village required
>Satisfying movesets

They're slow as fuck though and do that much damage before hitting high levels.
Now the best weapon is the lucerne :

Mediocre damage, but they build bleed extremely fast with Carthus Rouge.
Started and finished a playthrough today and used Dragonslayer's Axe as much as possible
Really neat weapon there, love the weapon art desu
First time I use an axe and it's pretty great for a buff/infuse build since its one of the few split damage weapons that can actually be infused and buffed

If you haven't tried it, bleed is incredibly good in Dark Souls 3.
Not only does the luck stat improves bleeding build-up, Hollow weapons give you an extra luck bonus depending on your hollowing,and they can be buffable with carthus rouge, which of course stack up with other bleed bonuses.
Add to that the twinblades' fast attack rating and you've got a weapon that can go through any health bar in seconds

Yes I have been using bleed, a lot. I use a Carthus Curved Sword with Carthus Rouge on it. Right now I have around 200 tongues.

I run around with a Blood Dagger as a secondary weapon

>During duels or invasions, sidestep works wonders getting around larger weapons
I'll miss using the bandit dagger, but this suits me just nicely.....

All running and rolling attacks can be parried except whips. Some are harder to parry than others though, like astora greatsword's rolling r1.

I was killed in 2 hits by a guy wielding two glowing red katanas. What weapon is that? I'm assuming he had a dex/luck bleed build, but the only weapons for that I'm familiar with are the warden twinblades.

Probably a Hollow 2kat bleed build with Carthus Rogue applied. People roll with the Warden swords because they are easier to get, but 2kats have a much more versatile moveset IMO.
