Which reminds me, there really needs to be a good Thing adaption. That PS2 game had so much potential but it just didn't live up. I suppose I don't even know how it could be done properly though, it'd be a very hard concept to adapt into an actual good game. The only way I could see devs handling it is making into a Telltale game.
I would say Alien, but Alien Isolation actually did it damn near perfectly.

I could see that, The Thing doesn't really lend itself well towards an action type game at least not as easily as Escape From New York. Maybe also a multiplayer game where a group is working together towards a common goal and one player is secretly the Thing sabotaging them quietly. Make it so the players have to split up to accomplish certain things and the Thing could start assimilating people. idk it would probably suck
