Yes it's a good game and one of this gen's classics.
But getting hyped up or waiting so long after the fact ruins your perception of the game.
If you were to play it on release without any previous knowledge of its quality, no idea about the victorian>Lovecraft twist, and without a year of reading it's "worth a PS4" and "PS4 only has one game, Bloodborne" then you'd have more fun.
Right now you might get one, play it, and even if it is your favorite Souls game you'll still think "It wasn't all THAT"
Just buy a PS4 whenever you feel like enough games came out and then casually buy bloodborne with a clear mind. If you were to play it now, instead of enjoying it you'd be overanalysing every aspect on your 1st playthrough trying rank it amongst Souls games and to see if it justifies your $350 investment. Just not worth doing it that way.
It won't ever be as good as it was before since you probably already know some plotpoints. Just like Halo1 was even better before everyone knew about the Flood.

Either way if you're lost it's to the right side of Amelia, where there are 2 hunters, one with the tesla weapon
Also feel free to just grab items outside of Cainhurst while avoiding bloodlickers, then go inside and proceed normally. they really aren't worth the effort to fight

If anything DS3 feels like the beta to Bloodborne. It goes halfway between DS and BB in its combat mechanics and in the end feels awkward against speedier enemies, while BB revolves around increased player and enemy speed much better. DS3's reused assets also make it feel like a cheap "me too" game on some parts. Smouldering Lake literally uses chalice dungeon walls from bloodborne, for example.
Its not any more hyped than any other Souls game. It just so happens that most people genuinely think it's one of the best in the series, and you happen to disagree, so you come up with other stupid excuses like "because exclusive" or "overhyped"

From the last 3 polls conducted, /v/ is split between DaS and BB as the best souls games, while every other is for the most part ignored.
PS4-main players are a minority on /v/, the majority being PC-main players, so BB being that high up in polls, against the fact that not even half of people in DaS generals played BB (so even less here on /v/) goes to show how good it actually is

II would have been the best if not for the goddamned horrendous, floaty animations and bullshit. It brought so much to the table that DaS I didn't, and that DaS III just decided weren't important.
DaS III is a fucking joke of a game. It's decent, it's fun, but it's short, easy, and a goddamned rehash to the max. None of the good shit they could have harvested from II to make a perfect game was included, and it's still rife with bullshit that could have been fixed but was kept because it makes the game "le hard".
DeS is another good contender.
