The memory ceiling is there. close to 5GB of memory is dedicated to video games, 500MB to the hypervisor (in a sense, the OS manager), and 2.5GB dedicated to windows applications (were previously windows 8/8.1 apps, now they're UWP).

Memory can be stretched to one VM or the other depending on the situation.

For the torrent client, Torrex (a windows phone/desktop UWP torrent client) is possible and the creator wants to go with it.

The torrent client in question is the one I use on my windows phone. It works good and it has a built in media player. Edge for xboner is getting external app link support soon, so magnet URLs from any page will work fine.

I can't fucking believe this shit Bethesda is pulling. First we're getting told that the construction kit won't be available for us (for no apperent reason since Halo and Doom have mapmaking, there's no reason to not release the modding tools on consoles), then we're getting told we can't download all mods because there's some "scripting" involved that can't be duplicated (again bullshit since a lot of games use scripts, CoD have scripted events all the fucking time), then we're getting told we can only download 2 gig of mods despite having waaaay much more on our harddrives.

Policing mods and making sure they are compatible seems pointless and almost impossible. Maybe community testing, but that's quite jewish. And that still doesn't stop little Timmy from installing 30 compatible mods that could potentially brick his console.
They'd have to make the modding harder, which is stupid. Or plaster warnings all over the mod page, but then you'll have people bitching about how they even dare put something in their consoles that can potentially fuck them up.

PC gets away with it because you have to go out of your way to download and install mods, it's completely unregulated by the developer/publisher and hosted on third party sites. So when you destroy your save, game or maybe even the whole PC because you downloaded some STALKER soupmod, you can't blame anyone but yourself.

Mods that use vanilla assets and only change things like scripts and gameplay mechanics tend to be really small. Like less than 10 megabytes.
Once you get into new assets like textures and sounds and stuff, you could use all 2GB with one mod.

Consoles are basically limited to new locations created with assets that already exist in-game like new player homes and such, and some small gameplay adjustments like balance changes. All the advanced gameplay enhancements require a script-extender which you can't get on console.

I also didn't realize most robots are weak in the legs, including Assaultrons. Also comes with the bonus of keeping them at range for that head laser.

Breaking the head stops the laser from starting to charge, but won't stop it if it already started, so always go for the legs.

Frankly you should be more concerned about the part where consoles will never be able to use script extenders.

It really is a far bigger restriction on the mods you can get than a 2gb limit (which honestly isn't that bad, I rarely use mods that big anyway). At worst you won't be able to get the big 4K texture packs to make the game look better, which you wouldn't be able to get anyway because it's still a console and wouldn't be able to handle the better graphics.

No script extender + permanently shitty hardware = the bigger problem here.

Kek. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I think Bethesda knew that this will do nothing but make console babies whine at modders. This will make modders hate the community enough that the holdouts will embrace paid mods, and the incredible amount of whining from the console mod users will give Bethesda ammo to say that gamers just can't be pleased so they won't listen to what is obviously a vocal minority.

On another note, what's the deal with Survival mode? I like the extra difficulty but it doesn't really feel like they put in the effort here. There are just so many little features missing.

Where are the indicators for tiredness, hydration, hunger and fatigue (either in your HUD or just your Pip Boy menu)?

Why did they not at least put a doctor character near the start of the game for when you inevitably contract an infection that constantly drains your health for ages unless you luck into finding Antibiotics?

Why is it so easy to contract diseases from sleeping as apposed to from getting cut/drinking filthy water/eating brain fungus?

You get what I'm saying. I like the concept but it's really clear that the game is not designed for the features the difficulty introduces and it's also clear that Bethesda didn't bother to properly implement it (such as by giving you tiredness/hydration/hunger bars).
