The only reason to be angry about this would be if that mans only defining character trait is the fact that he is gay. Think Anders from Dragon Age 2. This is a problem with developers nowadays, where if they make a gay character, they like to make it super fucking obvious that the character is gay, while neglecting almost every other aspect of the character that would make them interesting.
Now, I haven't played this game, so that may be the case. but from the dialogue that you posted, it seems rather inoffensive.
