saints 1 was my favorite mostly because of the protect the pimp and blinged out ride gamemode.
i just loved the map design in protect the pimp. It always funneled to the center of the map and niggas would spam nades and move slowly to get the pimp accross. blinged out ride was just fun to play.

1 and 2 are practitioner tier, simply cannot be beat in setting or story.
3 and 4 are cancer games, 3 holds onto gang gameplay faintly and 4 just shoots the series in the foot.
Honestly if you like either 3 or 4 unironically you're probably damaged goods.

2's story, characters, dialogue (no fresh memes thank you), getting gud in minigames to get cool stuff like infinite ammo instead of buying after enough levels, and the character customization that allowed for all dem overshirts/jackets in addition to undershirts.

3 is still pretty fun but gets really shit towards the end where you you literally can't die anymore.
4 is just pants on head retarded and completely destroyed the possibility of a SR5 unless they do a complete reboot with the serious. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just think that they ran out of story ideas at the halfway point of the game.

Each game was just going to be 3 gang story lines and a government story line. Gets kind of repetitive.
