it's quite good but the imperial campaign need some mods in my opinion because the chaos event happens fair to early and i get recked everytime because the fucking bretons go 200% DEUS VULT and the greenskins keep pestering me too. to top it off the forces of chaos say hello and buttfuck you without lube

How badly does it thrash older cpus?
I always seem to have a problem where the earlygame is enjoyable but after things settle down and I crack down on the initial threat things just slow down to a crawl and it gets pretty dull.
Anyone else get this? Does it pick up again or am I just playing wrong in some way?

Chaos definitely kicks things up a notch.
In my Empire campaign on Hard I had those fucking northern tribes running all over my lands raiding and raping every settlement in sight that didn't have walls and a big garrison.
It doesn't help that the computer controlled armies move like 30% more than you at all times and their agents succeed in all actions like 80% of the time.

They have one of the most unique campaigns, and are pretty fun.
The problem is that they're on the weak side in battle due to the fact magic was horribly nerfed, their late-game units aren't up to par with those of other factions and are a bit bad when it comes to sieges.

I like it but it's fucking hard to win campaigns even on normal. It needs a balance fix too, some units are way too op.

Liking magic, hero inventory, quests and some of the above-ground graphics. So far AI seems better than Atilla, aside from 2 fuckups (Ork Waagh walking by small border prince armies for no reason ignoring them (I checked, they were at war), and Karak Izor declaring war randomly on me and an ally they had green-face good relations with (and were weaker than me), then did nothing and begged for peace with a 500 gold offering 10 turns later. Then did it again.
Not liking the unfinished underground graphics (I'm Dwarves), lack of advanced formations like shield wall making Dwarves fight like goblins, the "army size" hidden calculation that favours any army that's even slightly larger with better combat calculations (someone else found this out)
Also 2 freezes, where I could move the camera but not click any buttons. Task Manager still listed it as running (probably because the camera still worked)

I razed/awoken 70% of the northern territories. Believe it or not they all lost to that one shitty tribe I didn't destroy (even though I did beat a couple of his armies). The Skaelings now controls everything in the north.
Even without them the Slaneesh's armies spawning right next to me is still too much.
