For a game like this, it's a lot better than you might think. The games start out with a really dark tone to them and this is contrasted by the sexual/quirky nature of these games. Funny enough, female ninja were often trained to be sexual servants/wives in order to steal information from enemy groups.
There are instances where characters have to accept consequences for their actions such asHomura and her group getting kicked out of school for betrayal.
The overall theme of good shinobi vs evil shinobi might seem dull but the way it shows how it affects the girls was a nice touch.
The VS games add another school to the good side, they are more of the Lawful-Good side where as the main good school would be more so of a Neutral-Good alignment. This contrast creates some interesting scenes at times.
The character interactions are fun, if you like anime stuff.

Do I need of beaten the 3DS games to enjoy SV?
If this leads to EV being ported to PC, I hope they include all the DLC with it for free like this release. Fuck having to pay $120 for all the DLC in EV.

That makes me think though, what if they added a male school to the mix? What do you think the teams dynamic would be? I think it would be cool if their Shinobi animal spirits were based off of dinosaurs so you could have a main guy with a raptor, barafag nigga with a Stegosaurus, hot headed guy with a t rex, computer nerd dude with a Brachiosaurus, and maybe a shota dude with a Pterodactyl
