For example, there are certain character relationships that drastically favour one side over the other (i.e Torbjorn vs Tracer, Widowmaker vs Bastion) but at the same time if you let your opponent dictate your strategy then you can also be doing exactly what your opponent wants you to do.
For example, you may sacrifice an ultimate on X character to switch because the other team hard countered you only to have them switch to something else when you change your pick.
There could actually be a pretty interesting meta grow around ultimates and hero swapping if the playerbase doesn't suck.
