How do I sit while gaymen, /v/?
Sitting up straight starts to hurt after awhile and leaning my chair back just makes it feel awkward to use my keyboard
>>339335242
shoulder press?
just straighten your back, if you feel yourself leaning forward, follow the instructions in this WEbM
Get a new desk or get a new chair. Whichever one is causing you to lean forward.
Holy shit, if your neck is that fucked up, you were probably meant to be that way from birth.

It's not that the neck is like that, it's posture.

How did you teach that horse to sit up straight?
I wish I could just sit still for more than 3 minutes without being uncomfortable. I was that weird kid in school who had to adjust himself all the time because I can't sit still. I mean, it's nice not having to worry about blood clots, but I know it's annoying to other people. The only way I can counter it is by shaking my leg but then people think I'm nervous when really I just like to move.
I've had some serious actor training, so posture's kind of second nature for me now, but what I know helps me is getting my screen higher so that it's right in my eyeline- you really shouldn't be looking down at all. The center of your screen should be close to the center of your eyeline. I've got it propped up on a bunch of books, but honestly it should be even higher. It's pretty subconscious for a lot of people, because they just adjust to it most of the time without even realizing it, but it's worth noting.

this is a good example of alignment
>>339338004
this is actually great, especially the whole chin down head against wall thing
knowing what that feels like really helps with alignment

>Mouse and keyboard are below waist level while sitting at my gaming PC
>when playing games that shouldnt use a controller (FPS, RTS, etc.) back starts to hurt
>cant play for more than a couple hours at a time
Its awful.
>>339338004
Does this actually work or is everyone just memeing? I need to improve my posture quite a bit, but anything I see like this on the internet always makes me a bit scared that it is some sort of trick that might destroy my insides or cause extreme pain.
>>339338004
Don't do this, it creates mustard gas
>>339341719
It's legit. If it was a trick,
>you wouldn't be watching him do it on video
>it'd be some shit kid trying to be serious and not an actual professional-looking dude
>>339340771
Unless you screw up the lift and then tear a muscle. Then you end up with lower back pain for the rest of your life. Shit's fun.
What's the massive bone-like lump in your neck called? I've got a pretty noticeable one and I don't know if that's natural or not.
>>339342940
It's the spinous process.
I think I might have a intervertebral disk displacement. Am I fucked for the rest of my life or can I fix it without surgery?
>>339335242
Raise your computer monitor so that having straight posture has your eyes level with the centre of the screen. Just use a phonebook or something.
Sitting on the edge of your chair also helps naturally straighten your back. If you find this especially helpful, consider buying a kneeling chair.

>a kneeling chair
My family doctor has one. It's so weird. Looks like it requires constant effort.
>>339344870
I find they're actually pretty comfy, but that's just me.

When he says tuck your chin in. Does that mean try to touch your chin to your chest?
>>339349103
It means to make your chin touch your neck as high up as possible.
BUY A BUS CHAIR FUCK
>>339341191
Scary shit is your probably only moving that much to avoid blood clots
