Why are there no good dogfighting games on the market? SW Battlefront had potential, but the whole fucking thing was worthless. That flight system was bullshit.

I really wish we could get a good WWII dogfighting game going or like a Modern dogfighter without some gimmicky bullshit like that Tom Clancy Hawx game. That looked like shit.

Well, there's Ace Combat. That's pretty much it as far as recent stuff goes. Vector Thrust tries to be a spiritual successor to Ace Combat, but it isn't very good at the moment.
Strike suit zero is kinda good if you like spacesims
Wings of Prey has a good flight model aside from a wing mate system that might as well not exist.

sadly I don't think flight / space flight games are that big anymore. When was the last time you heard somebody say 'oh man I gotta buy a joystick' for a game like they used to? Remember when shit like Wing Commander and Descent were the shit?

FreeSpace 2 hates the fucking gamepads you can only play it with a joystick or going hardcore with the keyboard and mouse. I couldn't reach too far because the aiming was shit.
