I have tried out both McCree and Reaper and I had a consistently easier time fucking shit up with Reaper. It's true that McCree kills people faster, but Reaper has the means to both get to them faster to start attacking and to dodge shit, plus his ultimate is better because it requires no wind up or waiting time.
So yeah, it's always funny to me how people say McCree is overpowered but no one seems to care about Reaper.

Rein is good for carrying rdm peeps (snipers, bastions, etc.). They just chill behind his shield while Rein pushes slowly pushes forward, and pick off kills while everyone focuses on Rein.
Lucio is the easiest character to play and actually be a benefit to your team. He is the easiest person to survive as because of his speed, and he out-heals every-other support in the game simply by being close to people.

I can actually land hooks with roadhog but I am still terrible with him. Most of the games I have over 60% hook accuracy rating.
I hook them, I shoot them once with my shotgun, and sometimes I follow up immediately with a melee strike and that is enough to kill squishy characters. Other times after the hook + melee they are able to run away with me trying to chase them down with the shotgun.

Thanks guys. Also the other issue I have Roadhog is trying to get him in a good position to hook. Since the range isn't all that great on some maps I find it really difficult to get in a position where I am not standing out in the open giving the enemy free ult charge.

The only reason he is picked so much right now is because its the emergent strategy. Before it was zen stacking with Genji and tracer, now its lucio stacking with Mcrees.
If lucio speed buff is nerfed Mcree will drop to a situational pick instead of auto include because he won't be able to close that distance anymore.

If McCree gets nerfed anymore he WILL be fucking worthless compared to all of the utility that the rest of the cast has. His raw close-range damage output as an offensive 1v1 character is all he has going for him, take it away and anyone who picks McCree will have to work twice as hard to score kills as everyone else. Don't forget that you can flank as roadhog too. Going deep into enemy territory, killing one and then going somewhere to heal. As long as your hook is up you should be prime to 1v1 anyone you meet.

A stick of dynamite fits the cowboy theme better. It would step on Junkrat's toes a little, but a single somewhat strong grenade on a cooldown is still a lot different than having a grenade launcher for a primary weapon.

As a team you almost always want to move together. If half your team gets killed, the team is wise to wait for the respawns before going all in again. Which means you're all gonna be running from the spawn together more than once. Which means Lucio is great at delivering you there.
Plus his sound aura ultimate is great to buffer against high damage pushes which are frequent in coordinated play.
Lucio is basically made to carry coordinated gameplay.
